Traffic Engineer

O.R.George & Associates, Inc. is seeking a traffic engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to assume responsibilities leading to long-term growth in a medium-sized planning firm based in Lanham, Maryland.  Our clients include major shopping center and office developers, sponsors of residential and institutional projects, and various governmental jurisdictions, predominately Prince George's County in Maryland and Washington, District of Columbia.  The position requires an advanced degree in engineering, experience in Traffic/Transportation and proficiency with current traffic software. Transportation Engineer

Conduct traffic impact studies, travel forecasting, signal design, analysis of ADA provisions, parking facilities and in-site circulation design. Knowledge of traffic engineering, transportation planning and software development for traffic data analysis required. Proficiency in HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, MicroStation, MUTCD and AASHTO Green Book as well as VB and VBA software programming.
