  O. R. George & Associates, Inc. (ORGA), is a full-service traffic engineering and transportation planning and consulting firm.  Formed in 1985, the firm provides planning, consulting, and design services to public and private sector clients involved with a range of land use development projects, urban economic revitalization, master plans for large scale institutional complexes, as well as major industrial/employment parks.  Project areas also include neighborhood and sub-area traffic studies and plans, as well as site access studies for a wide range of new and replacement land uses.  The firm provides services to public and private sector clients in support of projects and development proposals often requiring major investments in transportation systems.  These include corridor studies to assess travel patterns and improvement needs, and spot improvements to minimize conflicts, enhance safety, facilitate access to specific uses, as well as to mitigate potential adverse environmental impacts.

 ORGA has provided services to the Maryland State Highway Administration on numerous on-call service contracts, since 1989.  These projects have involved assignments throughout the State, and have included a variety of studies ranging from data collection to safety studies, travel time surveys, and neighborhood mitigation impacts.  These assignments have necessitated familiarity with the State's planning and policy guidelines and requirements for community involvement and dissemination of information.  A number of these requirements pertain to and address Federal and State mandates; and have necessitated familiarity with the various administrations, divisions and operational units of the Maryland Department of Transportation.  Similar involvement on local government and Federal projects has further broadened our firm's experience and capabilities.
